Christian Vázquez

ABOUT CHRISTIAN VáZQUEZ

Professional catcher and utility man who was drafted by the Boston Red Sox during the ninth round of the 2008 MLB Draft. He was a member of the Red Sox' 2018 World Series championship team. In 2022, he was traded to the Houston Astros and he helped the team win the 2022 World Series.

He attended the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and High School.

He made his major league debut playing against the Chicago White Sox on July 9, 2014.

He is a native of Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He and his wife, Gabriela, were married in 2018.

He hit his first career home run against Jeremy Hellickson on September 25, 2014.
