ABOUT CHRISTIAN FENNESZ

Electronic music producer and guitarist who has won widespread critical acclaim for ambient releases like Endless Summer (2001) and Black Sea (2008). He has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including Sparklehorse, Keith Rowe and Jim O'Rourke.

He studied music in art school and was originally a member of the experimental rock group Maische.

His album Endless Summer was named as one of the best albums of the 2000s by several music outlets, including Pitchfork, Tiny Mix Tapes and Resident Advisor.

He was born in Austria.

His album Flumina (2011) is a collaborative effort with Ryuichi Sakamoto .
