MLB catcher best known for his time with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he played from 2004 through 2010. He was originally drafted by the team in the second round of the 2002 MLB Draft.

He hit .316 and was named All-Conference U.S.A. Second Team as a member of the University of Houston Cougars in 2001.

He posted a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 during the 2008 season.

He has children named Trevor, Thalia and Chase.

He became teammates with then-rookie catcher Miguel Montero in 2006.
