ABOUT CHRIS GEIDNER
Journalist who began covering LGBT-related political and legal news for BuzzFeed in 2012. He previously worked at Metro Weekly, where he won praise for his coverage of such subjects as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and the Defense of Marriage Act.
He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio State Law Journal at The Ohio State University .
He was named as the Sarah Pettit LGBT Journalist of the Year by the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association in 2012.
He is the brother of journalism professor Nick Geidner.
His coverage of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" military policy enacted by Bill Clinton earned him the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association Excellence in Writing Award.
