First born child and son of Carolina Panthers superstar quarterback Cam Newton and Newton's longtime girlfriend Kia Proctor .

His father gave him the name Chosen to avoid the Junior distinction, while still picking a "masculine, but yet unique" name.

His mother used to be an adult entertainer, but would later become a glamour model.

He has an older half-sister from his mother. His mother's full name is Shakia Proctor.

His father was coached by Ron Rivera during the Panthers' 2015-2016 Super Bowl run.
