ABOUT CHET GARNER

Director, writer, and host of his own travel related television show. He is best known for his work with the show The Daytripper where he hosts a series of one day adventures exploring the food, culture, and history of a variety of Texas towns.

With a passion for food, traveling, and Texas, he began his original show on PBS exploring the culture of Texas. After winning several Emmy Awards, he has continued to explore new content on the series and has also been able to contribute to Texas Highways Magazine.

The PBS show that he works as creator, producer, director and host of has won over six Emmy Awards for its travel related content.

He was born and raised in Texas. He is the father of four children.

As an Emmy Award winning travel host, he can be seen in relation to others who have won the award for similar content including Anthony Bourdain .
