ABOUT CHESTER THOMPSON

Session drummer who is known for his work with Frank Zappa and the Weather Report.

He started playing the drums when he was a teenager.

He is a founding member of the band Fire Merchants.

He grew up in Baltimore and has worked as an instructor at Belmont University's School of Music in Nashville.

He has worked with Phil Collins , playing drums for Genesis on tours from 1977 to 2007.
