ABOUT CHARMAINE SHAMISO MAPIMBIRO
Zimbabwean singer-songwriter that gained fame for her collaborations with South African amapiano producers such as DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small . She is known for her singles "Ungowami," "iPiano" and "Woza."
Her musical journey began after she joined a choir. She subsequently took vocal and piano lessons as a child. Her career began in the year 2011 at the age of 17. She was later discovered by Audius Mtawarira.
She was awarded Best New International Act at the 2020 BET Awards.
Her birth name is Charmaine Shamiso Mapimbiro.
Her parents separated immediately after she was born, and she grew up being taken care of by her grandmother. She later moved in with her aunts.
In August of 2022, she posted a photo on her Instagram account wearing David Tlale 's collection.
