ABOUT CHARLIE CAMERON
Professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Prior to joining the Brisbane Lions, he played for the Adelaide Football Club between 2014 and 2017. He was selected as the 7th pick in the 2013 rookie draft by Adelaide.
He was a versatile athlete in school and excelled in baseball, rugby union, and rugby league at a high level. Additionally, he played a few Australian rules football games while studying at Marist College. He even spent six months in the Brisbane Lions Talent Academy. However, he decided to discontinue playing football to concentrate on rugby.
After completing his primary education on Mornington Island, Queensland, he relocated to Brisbane to enroll in Marist College Ashgrove, where he boarded as a student.
He was born into an Aboriginal Australian family in Mount Isa, Queensland. His sibling, Jarrod, was a professional Australian rules football player who competed for the West Coast Eagles.
He plays alongside Lachie Neale for the Brisbane Lions.
