ABOUT CHANDLER SIMPSON

Professional outfielder that was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays as a second round pick in the 2022 Major League Draft. He previously played college baseball at Georgia Tech . While at GT, he earned first team All-ACC honors and he was named a NCAA All-American.

He initially began his collegiate baseball career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham . He eventually decided to transfer to Georgia Tech in 2022.

During his sophomore season at Georgia Tech, he recorded a .433 batting average which led the NCAA. In the process of doing so, he became the first Georgia Tech player to hit above .400 since Mark Teixeira .

He was born and raised in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

He played college baseball at Georgia Tech just like Matt Wieters .
