ABOUT CASEY MIZE

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Detroit Tigers with the first overall pick of the 2018 MLB Draft. Prior to being drafted, he attended Auburn University , where he a was two-time All-American and a First Team All-SEC member.

He graduated from Springville High School prior to committing Auburn.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Chicago White Sox on August 19, 2020.

He is a native of Springville, Alabama. He grew up living with his parents, Jason and Rhonda, and his brother.

He is a former number one overall draft pick just like Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper .
