Photographer who has become highly acclaimed with published collections like Wild Pigeon (2014) and solo exhibitions like Paradise Rivers. She has received some of the photography world's most prestigious honors, including a Lang-Taylor Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship and a World Press Photo award.
She did not pick up photography until age 30. She spent the mid-2000s living in Ukraine and Turkey.
She won four the Pictures of the Year International awards from 2005 to 2015.
She was born in Los Angeles, California.
