He was interested in art--oil painting, specifically--as a child, and would later incorporate this passion into his work.

In 2008, he and an assortment of other designers did not show at the tents at Bryant Park because they could no longer afford the $100,000 price tag.

He grew up in Westchester, New York.

He has dressed Beyonce Knowles on several occasions.
