Infielder who played for the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs from 1970 to 1974.
He spent seven years in the minor leagues before making his big league debut with the Red Sox.
On September 2, 1972, he caught the final out of a Milt Pappas no-hitter.
He married singer Sue Raney in 1970.
In 1968, while playing in the minor leagues, he was named the Eastern League MVP, an award that Ryan Howard would later win.
