ABOUT CARL F. H. HENRY

First editor-in-chief of the conservative publication Christianity Today.

While not overtly Christian in his early years, a story had it that in his first job after high school he upbraided a colleague for using Christ's name in vain.

He helped the founding of the National Association of Evangelicals, and critiqued in his books and other writings modern liberalism.

He married his wife Helga in August 1941.

James Dobson , the founder of Focus on the Family, was also a prominent evangelical intellectual and author.
