He has accused his sister Theresa of sexual abuse against him and R. Kelly when they were children.

He dropped a diss track about R. Kelly called "I Confess" in 2018.

His mother's name is Joanne. Besides R. Kelly and Theresa, he has an older sibling named Bruce.

He became famous as part of a hip-hop/R&B family of performers like Joseph Simmons and Russell Simmons .
