Rose to fame competing on the 27th season of Survivor : Blood vs. Water.

Before joining Survivor, he worked as a farmer and a post office manager.

He grew up on his parents' cattle and chicken farm in Collinsville, Alabama.

He was engaged to fellow Survivor contestant Colton Cumbie . He tragically passed away in a work-related railway accident in 2014.

On Survivor: Blood vs. Water, he competed against Rupert Boneham and Candice Cody .
