Drummer-turned-producer who played with the alternative rock group Garbage and who produced many hit albums for other bands. He was ranked on NME's Top 50 Greatest Producers Ever at #9.
He attended the University of Wisconsin and played with local bands. He went on to build an in-house recording studio with Steve Marker .
He produced the album Nevermind by Nirvana.
He had a daughter with his second wife Beth Halper.
He was in the band Garbage with Shirley Manson .
