ABOUT BUTCH PAUL

Former center who played three games for the Detroit Red Wings and was tragically killed in an auto crash at age 22.

He played in the Canadian Amateur Hockey League and was a Memorial Cup winner in 1963.

He played his final season in 1965-1966, for the Memphis Wings in the Central Professional Hockey League.

He grew up with his family in Rocky Mountain House, Canada.

He played alongside Hall-of-Famer Gordie Howe during his short tenure with the Red Wings.
