Left-handed finesse pitcher who threw a no-hitter during his 2001 rookie season as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.

He attended St. John Bosco High School in California.

He was fourth in the Rookie of the Year voting in 2001, but after a poor 2002 season, he was sent back to the minors and never returned to the big leagues.

He was born in Torrance, California.

Gold Glove catcher Mike Matheny was his teammate on the Cardinals.
