ABOUT BRUCE GILDEN
Photographer famous for his intimate portraits often taken on the street. He has been featured in collections at New York's Museum of Modern Art and London's Victoria & Albert Museum, and earned his third fellowship through the New York Foundation for the Arts in 2000.
He began studying sociology at Penn State University before dropping out. He began his career in photography in 1967.
He has frequently featured his photography on his eponymous Instagram account, which has earned him more than 310,000 followers there. He had his book Un Nouveau Regard Sur la Mobilité Urbaine published in 2016.
He was originally born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.
He and Gary Mark Smith are both famous photographers known for their intimate street styles.
