She began dancing at the age of six and learned jazz, hip-hop, tap, and ballet. By the age of twelve, she began learning Latin ballroom dancing.

Since starring in the 11th season of So You Think You Can Dance, she earned more than 50,000 followers on her Instagram alone.

She has a sister named McKenna. She married Cory Calvert in 2018 but they later divorced. She had a son named Rome in 2021. She later began dating Tanner Larsen. They married in August of 2023.

Her first partner on So You Think You Can Dance was fellow competitor Serge Onik followed by Casey Askew .
