ABOUT BRONWYN JAMES
She is a British actress, entertainer, artist, and performer who is best known for playing Fanny in the period drama Harlots as well as Shenshen in the musical film Wicked. She made her feature film debut in the 2017 drama Apostasy.
She attended CAPA College, a performing arts school in Wakefield, West Yorkshire for her comprehensive schooling. In 2015, James graduated from Academy of Live and Recorded Arts with a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting.
After Wicked hit theaters, she used her increased audience to bring greater notice to the work her wife's nonprofit does in the arts. In January 2024, it was announced that she would play the character of Ruffnut Thorston in the live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon.
In 2023, James married Katherine Alice, founder of the Yorkshire-based nonprofit Hearts Collective, which promotes accessibility in the arts.
She worked with Rob Lowe in the 2019 film Wild Bill.
