ABOUT BRICE MATTHEWS

Former Nebraska Cornhusker that played college baseball at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for three seasons. While at Nebraska, he earned All-Big Ten Academic team honors twice. He was eventually drafted by the Houston Astros in 2023.

He was a two-sport athlete while at Atascocita High School. In addition to baseball, he also played football in high school.

He made his official major league debut while playing against the Texas Rangers on July 11, 2025. Unfortunately, he lost his debut by a score of 7-3.

He was born and raised in the state of Texas. He grew up living with his parents and his sister, Blake.

He was selected during the 2023 MLB Draft just like Paul Skenes .
