ABOUT BRIAN WINDHORST

Basketball journalist who became known nationally for his extensive coverage of LeBron James during the superstar's first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers . He has written multiple books on James, including The Franchise (2007), LeBron James: The Making of an MVP (2009) and Return of the King (2017).

He attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Kent State University with a journalism degree in 2000.

He received the award for Best Game Story from the United States Basketball Writers Association in 2009.

He married Maureen Ellen Fulton in 2012.

He has made regular appearances on ESPN's The Jump, featuring Rachel Nichols .
