ABOUT BRIAN MORRIS
Appointed by United States President Barack Obama in 2013 as the Montana District Judge of the United States District Court, he had previously been a Montana Supreme Court Associate Justice.
During his undergraduate years at Stanford University, he played with the university football team in the 1986 Gator Bowl. He went on to attend his alma mater's law school, graduating with a J.D. in 1992.
In the first decade of the 21st Century, he presided over Kulstad v. Maniaci, a Montana same-sex partner child custody case.
He was born and raised in Butte, Montana. His marriage to Cherche Prezeau resulted in three sons and one daughter.
Early in his career, he worked as a law clerk for United States Chief Justice William Rehnquist .
