ABOUT BRIAN CAMELIO

Musician, music producer, and entrepreneur known for founding ArtistShare, the internet's first commercial crowdfunding website. He's often regarded as one of the fathers of crowdfunding. He's spoken or been a panelist at venues such as New York University Law School, the University of Cambridge , and The Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was also a core faculty member of The New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music, and he's been a columnist for the All About Jazz website since 2010.

He began his musical career when he was only 9 years old. He studied musical composition at Clark University and finished his music degree at the University of Vermont with a focus on orchestral composition. Following his graduation, he spent 15 years touring as a professional musician, composer, and producer.

He earned a Grammy award in 2021 for producing the album "Data Lords" by composer and orchestra leader Maria Schneider. He was also the winner of 2 Choc de l'année Awards, a Mayor's Peace Prize in Burlington, VT, and several composers' grants in 1986.

He grew up in Boston, MA.

Throughout his musical career, he has worked with artists such as Trey Anastasio , Phish , and Barbara Feldon .
