ABOUT BRAXTON KEY
NBA power forward, athlete, and small forward who was originally signed by the Philadelphia 76ers G-League squad the Delaware Blue Coats as an undrafted free agent in the year 2021. Two years later, he signed a two-contract with the Denver Nuggets G-League squad the Grand Rapids Gold in July of 2023.
He initially began his collegiate basketball career at the University of Alabama . After two seasons, he then transferred to the University of Virginia .
He made his official NBA debut while playing against the San Antonio Spurs on January 7, 2022. He played just two minutes in a 119-100 76ers loss. While playing for the Grand Rapids Gold, he won the 2023 NBA G League Championship.
Growing up, he lived with his parents and his brother, Austin, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the nephew of NBA Hall-of-Famer Ralph Sampson .
He is a former Alabama collegiate athlete just like Mark Ingram Jr. and JD Davison .
