Professional southpaw that was drafted by the Chicago Cubs during the 16th round of the 2017 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Michigan State University . He was named a member of the second-team All-Big Ten after his junior season in 2017.

He was originally drafted by the Cubs as an outfielder. Two years later, he was converted to a pitcher only.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Pittsburgh Pirates on May 17, 2022. He recorded five strikeouts during his debut outing. He posts baseball and family content on his brando_hugs Instagram account.

He grew up living with his family in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

He once played collegiate sports at Michigan State just like Draymond Green , Magic Johnson , and Kirk Cousins .
