Southpaw reliever that was first signed by the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in 2015. He was only 16 years old at the time of his signing. In 2021, he was named the Cubs' top MLB prospect. He resigned with the Cubs under a minor league contract in December of 2022.
He originally began his professional career playing for the Dominican Summer League Cubs. He pitched in only 12 games before being promoted.
He made his major league debut pitching against the Chicago White Sox on September 27, 2020. His team won the game 10-8.
He grew up living with his family in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
He played against Luis Robert and Tim Anderson during his MLB debut.
