Bob Stinson
ABOUT BOB STINSON
Lead guitarist and founding member of the alternative rock group, The Replacements.
He met his future bandmate Chris Mars in 1978 and, together with Stinston's twelve year-old half-brother on the bass, the trio formed Dogbreath.
After a botched gig at a church, when several of them came out on stage drunk, his group changed their name to The Replacements.
He gave his half-brother his first guitar the same year he started Dogbreath.
As part of The Replacements, he influenced the likes of Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls.
