ABOUT BILL HEMMER

Journalist known for anchoring the Fox News show America's Newsroom. He'd previously worked as a reporter for CNN from 1995 to 2005. He's reported stories from places like Haiti, Vatican City, and Camp Fallujah, as well as throughout the United States.

He attended Miami University in Ohio and started working in television production during his time there.

He's helped found two scholarships, one for his alma mater and another for his high school. He was awarded a professional distinction award from his high school in 2013.

He was born to William Hemmer and Georganne Knittle as the third of five children.

He interviewed Barack Obama in 2008, back when the future-president was just a nominee.
