ABOUT BERNIE CLIFTON
British comedian, entertainer, artist, and performer who is known for working with an orange ostrich puppet costume called Oswald the Ostrich. He appeared on ITV's Last Laugh in Vegas and BBC's Crackerjack! He hosted shows on BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Radio 4.
As a teenager, he was a singer with a local dance band. He left school at 15 and became an apprentice plumber.
In the year 2016, he appeared on season five of The Voice (UK) but did not advance past the blind auditions. In the year 2002, he featured on the BBC Two documentary series The Entertainers. In the year 2006, he made his Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut.
His wife, Marjorie Hancock, died in 2000. They had four children.
He performed for Elizabeth II at a Royal Variety Show.
