Rapper best known as simply Bas who first earned buzz through his Quarter Water Raised series of mixtapes. He later signed to Dreamville Records and released the albums Last Winter and Too High to Riot.
He moved to New York City at age five. He attended St. Francis Preparatory School in Queens.
He was childhood friends with rapper J. Cole .
His real name is Abbas Hamad. His father worked for the United Nations.
In 2014, he supported rapper Ab-Soul on a 24-city tour.
