ABOUT BARUN SENGUPTA

Founder and editor of the Bartaman newspaper. He was known for his political criticism, and was very popular among Bengali readers.

He founded a magazine called Bhabikal shortly after graduating from City College in Kolkata.

He wrote several books on Indian politics, including: Pala Badaler Pala, Sab Chatitra Kalpanik, and Bipak-i-stan.

He was born to parents, Nirmalananda Sengupta and Ranibala Devi.

He and Matiur Rahman were both famous journalists from Bangladesh.
