He was a lead actor at a young age in school plays which helped lead him to winning a John Gielgud Scholarship to attend Central School of Speech and Drama.
He starred in the 1975 box office hit Adventures of a Taxi Driver.
He was abandoned as an infant and studied at orphanage boarding schools.
He appeared in the soap opera Crossroads, alongside star Noele Gordon .
