ABOUT BARRIEMORE BARLOW

Best known for his work during the 1970s and early 1980s with the English rock band Jethro Tull, this percussionist, drummer, and flautist also founded a band called Storm and recorded with such artists as Robert Plant , Jimmy Page , and John Miles.

In his early years, he acted in an episode of the popular soap opera Coronation Street and played with a local music group called The All Jump Kangaroo Band.

His recordings with Jethro Tull include Thick as a Brick, Songs from the Wood, and Stormwatch.

Born Barrie Barlow (and later given the Jethro Tull stage name of Barriemore Barlow), he grew up in Birmingham, England.

In 1971, he replaced Clive Bunker as the drummer for Jethro Tull.
