He began playing for the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in 2016.

He was a member of Team Canada for the Ivan Hlinkas tournament and led them in goals scored.

He was born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.

He was part of the same draft class as Jesperi Kotkaniemi .
