ABOUT BAILEY BROWN
American federal judge who served on the United States Court of Appeals beginning in 1979.
He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1939 and went on to attend Harvard Law School before serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was nominated by President Kennedy to serve on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He became Chief Judge of the court in 1966.
He was a native of Memphis, Tennessee.
He was nominated by President Jimmy Carter to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals.
