Pakistani right-handed batsman who has played for Pakistan in Test and ODI cricket. He began playing domestic cricket for hims home town Lahore Eagles in 2011.

He was born in Lahore and made his Test debut in July 2010.

In 2010, he led Pakistan to its first Test win over Australia in fifteen years.

His father is named Muhammad Rafiq.

He made his Test debut competing against wicketkeeper-batsman Australian Tim Paine in 2010.
