ABOUT AUSTIN PRUITT

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays during the ninth round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He was later signed by the Oakland Athletics in March 2022. He has also pitched in the Miami Marlins and Houston Astros farm systems.

Originally, he attended Navarro Community College in Texas. He later transferred to the University of Houston .

He made his official major league debut pitching against the New York Yankees as a member of the Rays. He allowed two hits during his debut.

He is a native of Plano, Texas.

He was once packaged in a trade that included Bryan De La Cruz .
