ABOUT AUSTIN LEE

Painter and sculptor famous for his abstract work. He incorporates digital technology into his work by making preliminary sketches for his paintings on an iPad and by using a 3D printer for his sculptures. He has been written about by the Observer, Art in America, ArtNews, and the New York Times. Many of his pieces of art focus on people that look as though they were created out of clay. His work has been featured in several galleries around the world.

He earned an MFA in painting from Yale University .

Besides painting and sculpting, he also creates short stop animation videos. The museum M Woods showcased his work in an exhibition called Austin Lee: Human Nature, in 2022. He promotes his art on his austinleee Instagram page, which has amassed 80,000 followers. He sells his work online through sites such as Artsy.net.

He was born in the United States.
