ABOUT AUSTIN DEAN

Professional outfielder that was drafted by the Miami Marlins during the fourth round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the San Francisco Giants via waivers in November 2021.

He began his professional career playing for the Marlins' rookie affiliate team the GCL Marlins.

He made his major league debut playing against the Atlanta Braves on August 15, 2018 as a member of the Giants.

He is a native of Spring, Texas.

He played alongside Isan Díaz as a member of the Marlins during the 2019 MLB season.
