She was offered an opportunity to model at 14, but her strict parents mandated that she finish high school first.
In 1998, she took a photography class at ICP institute in New York, and it awakened a love and passion for the craft.
She married her husband in Morocco, and the ceremony lasted three days. It was filmed by the E! Channel for their entertainment special Wedding Celebrities.
She has been close friends with designer Oscar de la Renta for several years.
