ABOUT ARTHUR ENGLISH
English actor and comedian from the music hall tradition. He is best known for playing Mr. Harman, in Are You Being Served? from 1976 to 1985.
He was a painter and decorator before becoming an actor and after serving in the army in World War II.
He was president of the club, Aldershot Town F.C, an English association football club based in Aldershot, Hampshire.
His daughter is actress, Claire-Louise English.
He appeared with Jack Wild in the 1978 program, Everyday Maths.
