ABOUT ANUM BASHIR
Founder of the fashion and art blog Desert Mannequin who was also a style contributor for Man Repeller and a co-creative director for N-DUO.
She launched her career the prestigious Qatar Museums. She graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Information/ Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She was a guest buyer and fashion director for Per Lei Couture. She launched the first influencer founded/ hosted podcast in Doha, entitled DM FM.
She lived in New York City for two years after finishing her education in Pittsburgh. She then returned home to Doha in 2011. She married artist and photographer Waqas Farid.
She and Briony are both renowned fashion bloggers.
