ABOUT ANTHONY TABERNA

This Filipino broadcast journalist became known for his hosting work on the ABS-CBN television shows XXX: Exklusibong, Explosibong, Exposé (an investigative journalism-based program) and Umagang Kay Ganda (a morning news segment). He also anchored the daily Dos Por Dos and Iba-Balita programs.

After studying communications at New Era University in his native Philippines, he began his journalistic career at a Quezon City-based radio station called DZEC Radyo Agila.

He became a member of a Philippine Christian denomination known as the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ).

He and his wife, fellow journalist Rossel Velasco, raised two children: Helga and Zoey.

He and Amy Perez both hosted the ABS-CBN morning program Umagang Kay Ganda.
