ABOUT ANNE KANSIIME
Famous as the star of the Kenyan television comedy program Don't Mess With Kansiime, this Ugandan-born entertainer is also notable for her YouTube comedy channel, which boasts to over 1.4 million subscribers.
While studying at Makerere University in Uganda, she began performing with several theatrical troupes in Kampala.
Her numerous honors include a 2013 BEFFTA Best Comedian Award and a 2014 AIRTEL Women of Substance Award.
She was born in Western Uganda to a homemaker mother and a banker father. She married Gerald Ojok in 2013; their marriage ended in 2017. She and musician Skylanta share a daughter.
She was born in the same year as fellow Ugandan comedian and web star Dee Kartier .
