ABOUT ANDY IBáñEZ

Professional infielder that was first signed by Texas Rangers in 2015. Prior to receiving an MLB contract, he played for the Piratas de Isla de la Juventud baseball team in the Cuban National Series. In 2013, he played alongside the Cuban national team at the World Baseball Classic.

After signing with the Rangers, he began his minor league career playing for the Hickory Crawdads. He was eventually promoted to the Frisco RoughRiders.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Minnesota Twins on May 4, 2021. He collected his first MLB hit during his only at-bat that day. His baseball fame has resulted in over 20,000 followers on his Instagram account.

He grew up living with her family in Havana, Cuba.
