ABOUT ANDREW JOHN RIDGELEY
Singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was one-half of the 1980s group Wham! He released two albums with the band, Fantastic and Make It Big. In 1990, he released his own solo album titled Son of Albert.
He was born and raised in England by a British mother and Egyptian-Italian father.
He sold over twenty-five million records worldwide with Wham! The group's visit to China in 1985 helped open up the country to Western music more than anything else to date. After a successful music career, he went to Morocco to pursue Formula Three racing.
He dated Bananarama's Karen Woodward.
He and George Michael were both in Wham! The two were childhood friends.
